School Council

 

  • To give the pupils the opportunity to be involved in improving school life for everyone.
  • To allow the children to become more responsible and actively involved in the decision making process of the school.
  • To develop and promote children’s self confidence, social skills and responsible behaviour towards each other and other people.
  • To provide opportunities to develop important life skills that promote positive mental health and an understanding of how to contribute effectively to society.
  • The School Council will be made up of pupil representatives from each class plus the Link Teacher.
  • To be elected pupils in lower school will complete an application form and upper school pupils will submit a letter of application. Short listed pupils will deliver a presentation to their class followed by a secret ballot.
  • Newly elected Councillors will have a 3 month trial period.
  • Meetings will be held 2 or 3 times each half term, depending on the length of the half term.

  • 15th - Jeff Rich drum workshop
  • 17th - Children in Need Day (£1 suggested donation)
  • 20th - Gymnastics Coaching 3:30pm
  • 20th - Basketball WOW day (yr 5 & 6)
  • 21st - BCyberwise E-Safety Workshop Yr5
  • 22nd - BCyberwise E-Safety Workshop Yr6
  • 24th - Inset Day
  • 28th - Holocaust Centre Trip
  • December
  • 4th - Flu immunisations (yr 3 & 4)
  • 6th - Christmas Fair - afterschool
  • 12th - School Theatre trip Peter Pan
  • 13th - Xmas Jumper Day (£1 suggested donation)
  • 15th - Mayan Day (yr5)
  • 19th - Church 11am (parents are invited, meet at church)
  • January
