Oakwood Teams

All four Oakwood teams – Hawks, Eagles, Owls and Falcons – are now up and running with all children and staff in one a team. Points are being awarded to children for such things as:-

  • Good work
  • Good behaviour
  • Sitting/lining up smartly
  • Helping others
  • Acts of kindness
  • Being ready
  • Listening carefully
  • Answering questions correctly
  • Thinking for themselves
  • Anything that merits praise and reward!

The team points are added up at the end of the week and the winning team gets its colours on the shield. The shield will be engraved at the end of the term with the name of the most successful team.

The children in each team have elected a captain and vice-captain. Year 6s who were interested in being captains presented their case in a letter then a speech to all the other team members and teachers in those teams.

Inter-team competitions will be introduced during this term and points earned will contribute to winning the Team Challenge Cup. Keep an eye on the website for the team of the week and any activities that are taking place.
