Wagtail’s nest

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

Not only do we have baby doves, but Mr Hill has discovered a wagtail’s nest in school as well. There are 3 baby wagtails just hatched and cosy in their nest. The baby doves are nearly ready to fly, we hope it’s this week before we break up for half-term.

Year 6’s SATS

Monday, May 18th, 2009

Year 6 children can now be more relaxed and calm, because the SATS have now finished!  The papers have now been sent off to be marked, and every pupil in year 6 is hoping to get the levels that they deserve.

Tea and Toast

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

This half term we held our first Tea and Toast morning inviting all children and their adults to come into school to join us for a cup of tea and a slice of toast. We (the staff) had a super time, even during the short power cut, but ‘toast production’ was soon back in action. It was a fantastic turn out and would like to thank all the adults, children and staff for making it so successful.

Due to popular demand,  we will be holding our next Tea and Toast morning on Thursday 11th June, 8.25-8.55am.

Baby Doves!!

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Last week we realised that the Dove’s eggs had hatched, because we saw little things moving  in the Dovecote.  Mr Hill carefully took a picture of the baby doves. We will keep you informed of their progress as the weeks go by!

Trip to ThinkTank

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

On the 5th of May, the year 6’s went to the ThinkTank in Birmingham. It was very interesting for every child because they went through different sections such as the Future, Present and Past. Also we watched a 3D film all about sea monsters from years ago. Every one had a great time and enjoyed having a go at the activity at the end where we used different skills like using microscopes and computer software.
