Polly, Molly and Dolly!

Sunday, November 28th, 2010

We have some new chickens because sadly Mable ran away and we thought Dolly would be lonely on her own. The new chickens are called Polly and Molly. They have settled in well with Dolly and are enjoying living at our school. Hopefully when they are older they will lay as many eggs as Mable did.

This week  (15th -19th November) is Anti Bullying Week 2010, we will be holding some special events/lessons during the week to promote vital anti-bullying messages, with the emphasis this year on the role of bystanders, the person that stands by and watches bullying but takes no action to help prevent it.

We will be  taking part in a  competition where we produce a cartoon strip picture or a story board with prizes from Derby City Council and Derby County!

Sea Life Centre

Monday, November 8th, 2010

On Wednesday 3rd November the yr 5’s went to the sea life centre in Birmingham. First, they went through a tunnel where there were giant green sea turtles, black tip reef sharks (one was massive!) and tropical reef fish swimming, a guide talked to them about all the different species. They also went to the sensorama  4d cinema,  some people loved it and some absolutely hated it!
