Class 12 Update.

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

Our topic is World War Two, which is amazing! We have had loads of fun so far this year especially in our debate, during which  we even dressed up to make our selves look like wartime characters. The best character was definitely Amber, who was a parent. We then had a vote whether or not to let evacuees into Little Weirwold. We also wrote a discussion about our fun drama.

We have all settled into year six really well. We are all really looking forward to our first trip of the year, which is going to be at the brilliant Holocaust centre.

Wonderful Writing by Class 3

Sunday, October 9th, 2011

In year 3 we have been learning how to add details to our writing to make it interesting. We read the story of the Paperbag Prince and then used it to help us write poems comparing a beautiful setting with one that has been spoilt.

During our art lessons we have been creating pictures of the setting of the poison pool.

As part of our topic on looking after the environment we are looking forward to welcoming a visitor to school to talk to us about rubbish and recycling.

We are also all very excited about going on our school trip to see the Nutcracker ballet next month.

Sponsored Walk by Class 9

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

On the 23rd of September the whole school took part in the 2011 enjoyable sponsored walk. We had to try and do 30 laps around the school but not everyone did 30 as it was such hard work. So far class 9 have raised the whopping amount of £63 HOW GREAT IS THAT!! All the teachers were cheering us on and our parents they were really supportive too.

Year 5s first topic is the fascinating Wreck of the Zanzibar by Michael Morpurgo. Class 9 are working towards our excellent class assembly in 2 weeks time. Everyone wants to be the main part (either Michael Morpurgo or his wife Clare!) We are doing a very awesome sailors dance and song which we are practising at the minute! Wish us good luck
