Class 5

Thursday, October 25th, 2012

Class 5 have been writing about the Battle of Bosworth, as if we were in it. We used freeze frames to help us imagine we were there. We learned that Henry Tudor VII fought King Richard III for the throne. Henry was successful and was crowned King.

Recently we took part in a Pro-Kick challenge. We kicked footballs to see who could kick the hardest out of the years and classes. It was fun and exciting. We did a lot of cheering for people in the year groups. Two weeks later the medals and certificates were awarded to the participants.

On Wednesday 17th October we visited Tim the Vicar at St. Mary’s Church for a tour. We asked him questions about his job and role within the church. It was an amazing and fun day and we learnt a lot!

Class 8

Tuesday, October 9th, 2012

In class 8 we have been doing lots of fun activities lately. One of them was the prokick challenge. It was done by a man called Lee Canoville who used to play for Arsenal. What you had to do was try and kick the ball as hard as you could into an inflatable net.

Another thing I’ve enjoyed is our Topic (coasts). I liked it because we had to make 3D boats waves and paper boats.
