Uniform Information

We want our children to look smart whilst in school and feel that uniform gives them a sense of belonging to our community.

Both Oakwood Infants and ourselves have adopted the same uniform which consists of:

  • White blouse, shirt or polo shirt

  • Bottle green cardigan, jumper or sweat shirt

  • Black or grey skirt, trousers or dress

  • White or black socks or black tights

  • Black shoes

Plain bottle green sweatshirts and cardigans can be purchased from supermarket clothing departments, high street stores and online. If you prefer to purchase a sweatshirt or cardigan with a school logo these can be purchased online via Uniform Direct. It is optional to purchase any item with a logo, not compulsory.

Plain tops can be purchased from any high street shop. We also advise flat black school shoes as opposed to trainers.

Parents / carers should ensure that children have the correct clothing to suit the weather in a particular season i.e. sun hat or winter coat.

All clothing especially coats and sweatshirts should be clearly marked with your child's name.

Lost property is kept in a box in lower school and upper school. It is sorted on a regular basis and then disposed of.

Clothes for PE

Children need to arrive in school in their PE kits on PE days. Teachers will let you know of the set days for PE for your child's class. Please can all children wear the correct PE kit and refrain from wearing designer PE clothes and shoes. We want all children to access PE in a fair and equitable manner as well as maintaining the feeling of belonging to the whole school community.

Indoor lessons

Black shorts, jogging trousers and a white T-shirt. Pumps may be worn though bare feet are best as feet become stronger and more sensitive, as footwork develops. Trainers are entirely unsuitable and are not allowed for indoor P.E.

Outdoor lessons

As above or a long sleeved sweatshirt or black tracksuit. Trainers may be worn. For health and safety reasons football boots and shin pads must be worn for football club and football training.
