David Blackwell – Co-opted Governor

Prior to becoming a member of Oakwood's Governing Board, I was a member of the school's Interim Executive Board, helping to support the school through a period of significant change. As interim CEO of the Odyssey Collaborative Trust, I worked closely with the Headteacher and other leaders to ensure a smooth transition for the school into the Trust. My substantive role is as the Headteacher of Springfield Primary School in Spondon, a post I have held since September 2007. I am currently working across two schools, providing leadership support to Portway Junior School in Allestree.
